I love sticky toffee pudding. Despite the fact it has zero chocolate, it’s pretty close to being the perfect dessert. You may recall a brief mention of this sweet treat in a previous post, but now I’ve taken it a step further and made it drinkable! Although it’s not as nearly as gooey or luscious, this drink tastes pretty close to the real thing.
1 banana
1/2 c. chopped dates
1/2 c. hot water
1 c. ice
3/4 c. almond milk
1 tbsp. honey
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. sweetened condensed milk
1 tbsp. honey date water (this will be from the hot water, honey and dates; more on this below)
Directions
1. In a glass measuring cup, combine the chopped dates, hot water and honey. Allow the dates to soak for about five minutes.
2. After the dates have soaked, carefully spoon them out and into a blender along with the other ingredients (remember not to dump that water!) and blend until smooth.
3. Grab some drinking glasses, straws, and drink up!
